The Greenhouses :


Have a green thumb? Gardening is both peaceful and therapeutic. Obabika is beautifully designed and equipped for hydroponics gardening and landscape artistry.
This beautifully constructed building,, of the same fine pine and maple as the other structures, is comprised of two parts:
Approximately 230 square feet of year round greenhouse
Approximately 710 square feet of seasonal greenhouse

The Wood Workers Workshop
Inclined to build? Obabika is like a small hardware store and wood worker's shop. 

All equipment needed to expand the existing strictures to your needs or build new is found here.

 

Propane bottles, water pumps. 

Special tools for log home construction, sander, bench grinders, skill drill and drill sets, electronic router, jigsaws, miter saw, 8" jointer, shaper, table saw, beaver lait bank and tools, winches. 

Various smaller tools such as hand planners, chisels, squares, screwdrivers, axes, hand saws, carving tools, sledge hammer 

20 ton hydraulic jack, 5 ton car hydraulic jack, propane heaters and a 

15 HP wood splitter. 

 


The Staff Quarters
Even the staff will feel that they are in heaven in this aesthetically beautiful building.

7 staff bedrooms, fully furnished (sleeping 12 staff members)

4 complete upstairs bathrooms

Living room with furnishings, 16" television, wood stove

Completely equipped kitchen with gas stove and refrigerator, and freezer


The Generators
No worries about downed power lines which other northern communities have to deal with. Obabika Lodge  is totally self sufficient. Two large generators (22,000 and 65,000 W) along with another portable 5 kW (5,000 W) 2,800 amp hour and 32 volt battery bank provide all the power needed to light up the entire lodge. The battery banks provide Obabika Lodge with the capability to turn off the generators at will in order to preserve the environment when power generation is not necessary.


The Motor Park
Transportation is never a problem. Besides Obabika being a licensed helipad and frequent host to sea planes for the convenience of friends and guests, there are many land vehicles.
